Unal Patel thoroughly enjoyed his time at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor's degree in computer science in 2009. While at university, he participated in intramural soccer and lacrosse and joined several clubs related to his interests, such as computing, math, science, and environmental sustainability.

He is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration. He hopes to launch another nonprofit-focused startup one day. Completing his MBA will bring him one step closer to that goal.
